I am excited about a few upcoming projects, though. First, I'm starting a writing critique group at the local community college which I attend. It'll be awesome.
The other thing is that I'm going to be proofreading college/scholarship essay applications for cash. If any of ya'll ever need someone to proofread your application essay, I'd be happy to do so. I'm working on finding places to advertise such a service. Do any of you know a site for that sort of thing? Also, what would you consider a fair price for proofreading an application essay?
I would also like to announce that I am beginning a new series of articles. The series will focus on the history, culture, and politics the Southern States of the U.S. I am a natural-born Southerner and have always been fascinated by my people's society. We are a people of which little is known outside the U.S., though, and inside States there a great number of misconceptions regarding us. If you like the South, are an American from another part of the U.S., or a foreigner who knows little to nothing of us, then keep an eye out for this series. I will also post all of my articles on my blog, and may contact a few websites to see if they'll host them.
My blog: www.shawnedwards.wordpress.com
My first article will be a brief history of the Early South and the people who inhabited it, along with some facts about the South. It should be up sometime in the next few days.
Until then.

Good luck with your writing critique group, it sounds like a great idea!
It will be a little longer, actually. I've been busier than I thought I would. No worries, though. It'll get written.
